So here I am again.
The last days were totally awesome.
I had one of the coolest welcome party, one of the biggest cultural shocks and very incredible moments.
So let's start from the beginning. It was the last day before the internship really starts, the morning was almost the same like the past few days where I woke up in the morning around 12.00. I sat for a few hours in the apartment and after that around 17.00 a cool guy just came in. He had just returned from his internship from Indonesia, where he stayed for about a year. He had a lot of stories to tell and a lot of adventures to describe.
Afterwards we went out with my Indian friend Alnavaz to visit the other side of the city by public transportation. So we took the first tram that came until its end. We saw a lot of interesting places, the city suburbs and yet again a lot of trees. We didn't stay there for a long time because the guys from AIESEC and some other interns were waiting for us at the Old Town.
We were about 13 people from 4 different countries. As you can see at the picture there are some river boats being used as pubs. It was the first place we went and it was very nice. We talked a lot about our experience so far and how we feeling.
After that we went to a place, with Turkish origins, for beer and hookah that was in a basement. I took a beer because I don't like hookah and stayed there for couple of hours talking for different things.
Our little party was continued to a Student club(ok I don't know how many of you are familiar with this term, because when I say student I mean free pass for students with very cheap prizes). The 0,5L beer costed me 4zl (1€=4zl) and we stayed there dancing and talking until 01.00.
Our trip ended at the bank of the river which was very nice at night.
Next day afternoon the time had come to move to my hostel, which is located within a fortress.
I was very surprised when I saw the place because it was something totally new for me. The temperature was quite low and the humidity level high. Afterwards I learned that the temperature remains this way for the whole year, and that's because of its construction.
I went to my room and found out that it had no plug ins and toilet. But the most "amazing" thing was its location within the fortress; it is at the first basement with view the party wall of the outside wall and the fortress's wall, exactly as it was in the Medieval Ages.
The first night passed without any difference except of the fact that I had a lot of dreams with different subjects; soldiers passing by, some religious wars etcetera.
The next morning was the most interesting one while I met with a guide, who is working here, and he showed me the place around. The history of the fort is quite interesting but I need a lot of time to describe it. The most wonderful think is that it was created in the 19th century basically for the World War I and its structure is accordingly to the laws of Physics and symmetrical. It could host more than 800 soldiers for about 3 months. Because this city was the borderline between Prussian empire and Germany, it had 15 other forts with same structure that didn't abstain more than 1,5 km each. It can't be seen from the outside and the only think someone could understand was a hill.
And we made it to the present, incredible moments, amazing experiences and interesting people continue to come and go.
I love my time here

Enjoying the place before starting my job
Yesterday it was a very nice day, I woke up again at around 13.00 o' clock and sit for a bit in the house before go out and explore.
My journey started heading for the university of Nicolaus Copernicus at Torun, I had to walk for about 10' until I saw it. In the street there are kebab kiosks (its like our souvlatzidika) making something like a wide open crepe with kebab and different ingredients.
I was looking for the AIESEC office and got lost, the place was huge and the university was several square kilometres. Its like our technical university with a lot of faculties. After finding a map of the university I found my way out.
I went to the office and found the guys, their office is like LC Panaig's office with a lot of computers and awards. The nice thing is that LC Torun has been created 5 years ago and they are growing bigger every year. They are also preparing to open an Expansion LC in a near city.
We came back home and stayed there for about 5 hours until the guys suggest us go with them for a beer. The night here in Torun is a bit cold and because of great humidity, you couldn't stand outside for a long time without a jacket.
We took a few beers from the super market and went there and sat on a bench next to the fountain of the university. This was very interesting because we talked about different things regarding our cultures and the similarities and differences we have. Greece and Poland aren't so different after all(there are a lot of differences but still...) but India with Greece or Poland its like the day and night.
So it was a beautiful day that came to its end
P.S. Drinking a lot of water its a good thing but it has its disadvantages as well...

The first wake up call
Today was practically my first day at Torun.
I woke up nearly 13.30 and found out that I was alone in the apartment.
The weather outside is outstanding and getting ready to go out.
But first I needed to find some details about the transportation, roads and the bank.
I searched and found a lot of useful things at the internet and my home as well.
After that and while the afternoon was passing by I decided to go out for a walk.
It was a very interesting moment because it was my first time walking around alone, and for someone being at an unknown place isn't easy.
I ended up walking around for more than an hour and finding very interesting places, shops and people.
There are several public transportations but the bad think is that you need to pay a ticket every time you change one. Despite I heard that you can buy a monthly card with a very good price, I got disappointed when I found out that this card was available only to Polish students.
I had a surprise when I suddenly met my friend Alnavaz trying to buy this same card.
After we discussed we couldn't do so we decided to return home.
The searching around Torun ended there while afterwards I stayed home, saw some movies and got the chance to talk with the guys in the apartment.
An other day came to its end,
Its my second day here and I have started enjoying it.

Arriving at Torun
My flight to Bydgoszcz has just started
I left Warsaw with a foggy and full of clouds weather to meet my destination.
The scenery was like you have taken a picture from heaven. The whole airport was "stuck" into forest and the whole atmosphere was refreshing.
I met with the girl she had come to pick me up and waited for the bus to go to Torun.
The scenes I was seeing all the way to Torun were incredible.
Trees and forests everywhere the whole road was closed in a pile of trees.
Finally the city...
What a wonderful city, the people here are seizing every moment and you don't see the daily routine affecting their lives.
I came to the EB flat( the whole Executive Board of AIESEC in Torun lives here) and stayed for a while to relax and get rest.
I was very tired and I fell asleep almost immediately, I woke up 3 hours later and my roomate Alnavaz Jiwani, a guy from India, told me to go out for a walk with his buddy to see the city.
We went to the center to a mall and walked around,
I sat to eat something because I was starving, when you leave your country you are wondering "is the food there will be good?", and I tasted a sandwich(much bigger and cheaper than Greece) with chicken whis was delicious.
We continued our journey to the old city and the Vistoula river.
It was an A M A Z I N G walk with hundreds of beautiful sights and places to visit.
After this little experience I had to return back because my back was hurting me.
Stay in touch for my next life changing experience :)

First Touch
Hi everyone,
This is my first post from Poland. My journey started several hours ago, when I was running in the airport of Athens to catch my flight to Warsaw.
To cut a long story short the flight was normal without much turbulence
And now here I am at the airport of Warsaw, which is brand new, waiting for my next flight to Bydgoszcz, the city near Torun where I will start my internship.
There aren't many things to say, other than the wake up call from a Greek guy, during my flight to Warsaw, as he was shouting to two kids in front of him to "shut up".
Ah, and last but not least as soon as I arrived to Warsaw the weather was rather good with a lot of heavy clouds and strong winds
This experience has just started
Wait for my upcoming updates
